Families
We are family/kid friendly. Our Wolf Den room is best suited for families. Please see our Family Friendly page for some of our perks for families!
Pets
We do not allow pets inside the historic house. Only service animals are welcome and a form will be provided for you to fill out during check-in. The animal must be a service animal required because of a disability. It must be on a leash, harness or tether. The service animal must remain with the guest with a disability at all times and never left unattended. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their service animal. If a service animal is out of control (including barking), for any reason other than the task it is trained to perform for its handler, and the handler does not take effective action to control it, staff may request the animal be removed from the premises.
We do have 2 friendly kitties that live nearby and like to sneak in the house, so we ask you to please keep doors shut during your stay.
Room Occupancy rules
Rooms have various occupancy rules, depending on size. Please review the room pages on our website to determine number of people each room can accommodate.

Doing Business with MaMere’s Guest House
MaMere’s Guest House resides in the Historic Howell House, built in 1891. Because of the historic nature of the property, we are not able to accommodate guests with accessibility needs that prevent them from climbing stairs. All of our rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and the stairs are narrow and railings somewhat low due to the time period in which the house was built. No elevator is available. Removing this barrier to our guest rooms is not readily achievable and would require destroying the historic architecture of the facility and an unbearable expense for the business.
All of our bathrooms have old fashioned, claw foot tubs that require stepping up and into the tubs. We can provide a stool to assist with entry into the tub, but the bathroom set up prevents grab bars from being available. However, we do have a shower with seat available in our Carriage House for guests to use, if they prefer. Advance notice required. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to call us to talk about all of our options, in detail. We are happy to assist wherever possible.
For events, our Carriage House event space is ADA accessible and has a bathroom with the ability to accommodate wheel chairs.
Currently our reservation system may not fully meet AA standards of WCAG 2.0. This is something we will continue to address with our reservation company, so that it too will be accessible to people with disabilities in the future. If you find you are having difficulty determining availability or booking an accommodation via our online system, please contact us at the links below and we will be happy to assist you directly.
