Wineries & Wine Tours
Monmouth is surrounded by some of the best wineries in the state. It is easy to make MaMere’s Guest House your home base as you explore nearby wineries or even venture out and enjoy a scenic drive while you sip wine further north, south, east and west. We are happy to recommend some of our favorite wineries within 20 minutes of the Inn. Make sure you call ahead, as many are currently requiring reservations.
Want a chauffeur to do the driving while you do the sipping? We highly recommend joining Crush Wine Tours for one of their joinable Willamette Valley Wine tours or setting up a private tour on the crush bus. Their joinable tours include 3 winery stops and 1 food/treat stop along the way. John (Crush bar owner) is knowledgeable, fun and will set up all the tastings ahead of time so you are guaranteed a tasting. To book a seat, reserve directly through the Crush Wine Bar & Tours website. They can even pick you up at MaMere’s!
Beer and Cider
Prefer beer? Have no fear! Parallel 45 Brewing is an independent craft brewery located in Independence, 10 minutes away from MaMere’s.
Gilgamesh Brewing also serves up pizza and pints and is only a 5-minute drive from the Guest House.
Cider more your style? Then Salt Creek Cider is where you want to head. Bring a picnic and play on the grounds or schedule your visit when a yummy food truck is on site.
Many of these locations also have music and other fun events year around.
